TIBCO IT ADVISORY BOARD
2Q 2000 SURVEY

PURPOSE

The purpose of this survey is to assess the opinion of the members of the TIBCO ITAC in regard to two major topical areas:

          1) Current Issues the CIO is Facing

          2) Strategic Trends for the Information Technology Industry

In this survey we want to determine your opinions as they relate to your company, your industry, and the IT industry in general. We will present issues and trends and ask for your opinion as to these topics but ask that you also present any other issues or trends that you feel have significance even though they may not be listed in this survey.

For the Ranking 1-6 catagory, please rank only your top six CIO issues 1 thru 6. Use 1 for the most important issue and 6 for the least important issue.

For the Rating 1-10 category, rate each issue using a criticality measure on a scale of 1 thru 10, with 1 being not very critical and 10 being very critical. Choose a rating for each issue. In the rating catagory, different issues may have the same rating.

Estimate the degree of probability that you think that the technology trend will be adopted. The time horizon for these trends to play out should be assumed to be within the next 3 years (by end of year 2002). For the probability category, some trends will have the same rating.
